Symptoms of hemorrhoids vary from person to person. And some people may never have any symptoms at all. But for the many that do suffer from the discomfort associated with hemorrhoids, they know just how aggravating, painful and sometimes down right embarrassing hemorrhoids can be.
If you are experiencing pain or discomfort around the anus area or rectum and are unsure whether it is hemorrhoids, you should go and be checked out by your doctor. In order to diagnose hemorrhoids, your doctor will ask you a number of questions. The questions will be related to the current symptoms you are experiencing, current medical conditions you may have such as constipation or diarrhea and current medications you are taking.
For conclusively diagnosing hemorrhoids, a physical exam will be given. During this exam, your doctor will examine your anal and rectal area for signs of external hemorrhoids. He will also do a rectal exam to feel for internal hemorrhoids which are a cause of rectal bleeding.
Once the doctor has examined you and determined that you do have hemorrhoids, he will then prescribe the best treatment for you depending upon the severity of your case. Hemorrhoid treatments may include the following:
* Ointments or creams for itching and burning
* Suppositories
* Increasing fiber in diet
* Increasing water intake

Can a Family Survive Years of a Drug Addict's Actions?
A drug addict will simply drive you insane with their crazy antics and the fabrications they can come up with is unreal. They will promise you the moon and deliver the dirt off the ground instead and swear to you it came from the face of the moon. This is how ridiculous they are and what lies they can muster up.
It is not only the lies but also their actions and how they act when they think they are going to be without any thing to get them high. It doesn't matter if it is only a cough medication, just as long as they get a buzz.
I don't know what this kind of high feels like but it must be something else by the way they act. Like a starving dog going to a steak dinner. It must be agony to be put through this kind of anxiety every day. Not knowing where you are going to get the next fix from or in what form. It doesn't seem to matter to them which way or with what just as long as they are not in the normal state of mind. Out of control and uncountable for their actions is the way they want to run their life.
The problem is if there children are aboard this run away train. They will be hurt more than the addict because they are dependent on them for support and affection. They more than likely will not get either because the addict don't have time for such as this. Their only concern is my stuff and how will I get it today. Who or what can I steel to raise the funds needed to purchase the taste of hell that I desire so much.
This must be a some kind of displaced state of mind for one to desire it so badly.
There is also a physical desire for the chemical as well. The body becomes dependent on the replacement substance to fill the synapse of the nerve neurotransmitters where once there was natural chemicals to fill the transmission function. Neurotransmitters that has been replaced with a mimic transmitter causes the body to rely on this altered transmission to be present and when its not then the body goes into withdrawal. This is quite painful due to the signals in the nerves are misfiring because the chemical is no longer there to fill the synapse of the nerve.
This is when withdrawal begins. It takes about three days for the body to regain what it has lost due to the drug over taking the natural balance of things. The body has a delicate ego system that should not be tampered with and when it is the recovery rate can take longer. After three days, the body starts to regain what it lost due to the drug afflicting the normal balance of the system.
This is one reason the addict will continue to seek the drug of choice to prevent the body from taking back what it lost and the pain that accompanies it.
Therefore, it is in the best interest of the person to not start replacement substances and this experience can be avoided, but try telling that to our young and old people alike. The person just has to experience this horrible episode for themselves and this can be a deterrent for future use of any alternate state of mind substance.
If it worked more aggressive, maybe we would not have the addicts that we have today or they maybe worse to prevent the side effect from occurring. Who knows what can be done except the person with the addiction. It takes the want-to to get off the afflicting agent.
With a strong desire to stop any mind altering agent, it can be done. A positive mind set can over come any obstacle that is set before you.

Identifying the Symptoms of Alcohol Withdrawal
Alcoholism per se already poses danger to one's health and wellbeing. Early diagnosis of this medical condition is very important so that it can be dealt with the soonest possible time as well. It is crucial to know that alcohol withdrawal unlike withdrawals from other forms of addiction is fatal.
Alcohol withdrawal syndrome is referred to as a series of symptoms which occurs when one suddenly stops or decreases his or her intake of alcohol after prolonged consumption or ingestion. The central nervous system becomes hyper-excitable when an alcoholic or an individual suddenly stops or reduces the intake of alcohol. In severe cases of alcohol abuse, the symptoms of withdrawal may include delirium tremens and seizures which may bring about excito-neurotoxicity.

In severe cases of alcohol abuse, the symptoms of withdrawal may include delirium tremens and seizures which may bring about excito-neurotoxicity.
The symptoms are not felt or experienced by everyone who stops or reduces drinking, but most people who have been frequently drinking, have been drinking heavily or have been drinking for a long time will surely feel some of the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. Since it is pretty hard to tell how an individual will respond to the sudden decrease in alcohol consumption it is best to consult a medical expert before this medical condition becomes life-threatening.
To date there are several identified symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. The presentation varies from mild to moderate physical and psychological symptoms to severe ones that may lead to death.
For slight physical symptoms there's increased sweating especially on the face or the palms, nausea and vomiting, sudden loss of appetite, paleness, palpitations, abnormal movements and tremor seen on the hands, uncontrolled movements of the eyelids, pulsating headache and insomnia. Moderate psychological may include the occurrence of bad dreams, fatigue and depression, irritability, feelings of anxiety, jumpiness, nervousness and shakiness, inability to think clearly and sudden emotional changes. Severe symptoms include delirium tremens which is a state marked by visual hallucinations and confusion, hyperthermia, euphoria, agitation, "black outs" and convulsions.
Early diagnosis, treatment and proper care are key in alleviating the dangers brought about by alcoholism and alcohol withdrawal syndrome.

Drug Relapse and Dishonesty Go Hand in Hand
When relapse to drugs or alcohol addiction is imminent, there are indications, signs that can be seen and the slip can be predicted. One of the reliable signs of a coming relapse is dishonesty. By dishonesty it is meant telling any untruths, not just about drugs or addictive behaviors.
Is the recovering addict exhibiting any of the following?
Is the recovering addict exhibiting any of the following?
• Lying about whereabouts
• Missing money
• Not showing up at agreed upon meetings or social functions
• "Little white lies" that are unnecessary, where the truth would serve just as well
• Accusations of "you don't trust me!"
These are not the only danger signs, but you get the idea.
Any hint of the ex-user not sticking to his plan or distancing him or herself from the family or from his program, while not a 100% sure clue that they are back off the wagon, at least means that the ship is off course and heading for the rocks.
You can choose to sit and wait until you have a full relapse episode on your hands, which is a very dangerous thing to do, or you can jump right into it and find out what is going astray in this person's drug-free game plan and possibly head off what could be a deadly mistake.
If you ARE the addict who is experiencing this, realize, now is the time to talk to your sponsor, your detox rehab counselor or soul-mate. Do not wait, get their help right now. Remember, addiction once had you by the tenders, do you think it cannot get you again?
Going against the agreements that were set up regarding drugs use in an embarrassing failure, so it may seem like a good idea to hide it. But that only makes it more of an embarrassment when it is eventually found out. And make no mistake, it WILL be found out in the end.
So, one good way to keep the chances of relapsing to drugs at a minimum is to keep your integrity in everything you do and in what you say. No need to hide anything if you are
100% honest and above board! And you will find that your ability to resist the urges to relapse to drugs is more than strong enough do keep you clean!
